Getting started with NewsStreams
Post your tweets, track stocks, news and RSS feeds in real-time
Zignals NewsStreams combines the best of a Twitter and RSS Feed reader. You can
track, in real-time, the latest opinions of market commentators and trading tips
side-by-side with the latest news from reputable news agencies. The application
offers three key areas:
- Twitter Reader - Search Twitter for the latest opinion on a single stock, group
of stocks or company name (or other text entry).
- RSS Reader – Add news feeds from news agencies or individual bloggers.
- News Display – Each column represents an individual News or Twitter feed.
- Twitter Posting - Add your own Tweets, insert a chart or add a link.
Track a stock using a Twitter Feed
Twitter - Search for a stock
Drop down the Twitter menu. Type your stock in the stock picker; configure your
settings if needed (click the funnel icon and ensure a check box is displayed next
to the markets you wish to view). After you have typed in the symbol click [Go]
to load up the Tweet channel.
Use the navigation icons along the top of the display to select your newly added
channel; alternative use the arrows on either side of the mini-icon display to switch
between channels.

Creating a stock list to apply to a Twitter Channel
To create a list click [Edit Stock List] and from the pop-up menu click [New]. Give
your stocklist a name and [Save]. The Select Stock List will display your new stock
list which is empty of stocks. Enter multiple stock tickers or stock names into
the input box and click save when you're done.
Select your newly created list form the stock list in the Twitter down menu and
click 'GO' and tweets featuring any of the stocks in your stocklist will appear
inside the channel.
TIP: You can remove a stock from the list by clicking the blue Dash to the right of the name.

RSS - Subscribing to Your Favourite News Source Feed
Add a Personalised RSS Feed to Your News Portal
You can add RSS from the list of suggested sources, or you can add a feed of your
choice. You can add as many RSS feeds as you like and each feed will appear as a
new channel. Use the icons and directional arrow navigation along the top to switch
between channels.
In the RSS dropdown select 'Add new feed'. Cut-and-paste the RSS source into the
RSS address bar and give your Feed a name. Save when done.

Different channels can be navigated by the icon bar along the top (1) or by clicking
on a channel (2) and dragging the channel window to a new location inside the news
portal.
If you have a large number of channels the navigation arrows next to the icons will
scroll between the different channels.
